3 easy steps to choosing a mattress

You can determine which mattress is just right for you on the basis of 3 main factors; your weight and height, your preferred sleeping position and your first-hand experience.

 

Step 1: Your weight and height
Start with your preferred mattress firmness, and begin by determining whether you prefer a firm or soft mattress. Each model is labeled with a firmness scale that will help you make this decision. The firmness of your mattress should correspond to your weight and height. As a general rule, the heavier you are, the firmer your mattress should be.

 

Step 2: Your sleeping position is also important
Your own preferred position will not determine your mattress choice.

  • If you sleep on your side, you may prefer a mattress that is less firm.
  • If you sleep on your back, you may prefer a slightly firmer mattress.
